Bocce Tournament
Join alumni and friends at UD for a bocce tournament and Neopolitan street food. Bocce ball can be traced back to 5000 B.C. Whether or not you've played bocce before, beginners luck is always a factor. Court is behind the New Hall. For more information call 972-721-5133/5066.

Life Transition Seminar
During the bereavement luncheon hosted by the Visiting Nurse Association, Mr. Kuligowski will speak on "Loss, Life, and Love: How to Rebuild Your Life When You Lose a Loved One." Located at the Church of the Incarnation on 3966 McKinney Avenue in Dallas. There is no cost to attend the luncheon, but reservations are requested and can be made through June 26 by calling 214-689-2633.

July 1 to August
Supplies for Success Drive
This communitywide school supply drive has been sponsored by Chase, the mayor of Irving and the Irving Fire Department for 5 years. The goal is to serve 8,000 students from economically disadvantaged families by not only providing them with the school supplies they need to begin the new school year but host an outreach event that will give them access to required vaccinations, social service agencies, bus route information and much more.
School supply donations will be distributed directly to families in on August 18th from 8am8pm at Irving High School.

Summer Hoops/Kicks Program
The Irving Police Department and Irving Police Athletic League will present the Summer Hoops/Kicks youth programs for students from July 9-Aug. 3. The free programs are designed to provide a safe and secure option for kids who might otherwise have trouble staying busy during the summer. The Hoops program is for kids ages 10-14 and focuses on basketball while the Kicks program is for ages 8-14 and focuses on soccer. The Hoops program will take place daily from 9 a. m. to 1 p.m. at Travis Middle School, 1600 Finley Road. The Kicks program will take place daily from 8 a.m. to noon at Austin Middle School, 825 E.
