Wedding Announcements 10/13/12

Janet Renee Hix and Kevin Andrew McMillen were married August 25, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Irving. The Rev. Russell Floyd officiated. A reception followed at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving.

The bride is the daughter of Doyle and Sharon Hix of Irving and granddaughter of LeRoy and Clereta Toler of Irving. Janet is a physical therapist and clinic supervisor for All-Star Orthopedics in Irving. The groom is the son of David and Carolyn McMillen of Centerville, Ohio. Kevin is a Senior Project Manager for Cottonwood Financial in Irving.

The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Lisa Simms of Prosper. The bridesmaids were the bride’s sister-in-law, Heather Hix of Celina, and friends, Sarah Hummel of Hastings, Minnesota, and Stephanie Mair of Grand Prairie. Flower girls were the bride’s nieces, Kendall Simms of Prosper, and Reagan Hix of Celina.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Paul McMillen of Columbus, Ohio. The groomsmen were the groom’s friends, Dan Dismuke of Miamisburg, Ohio, Rowdy Gaudet of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Branden Mair of Grand Prairie. Ring bearers were the groom’s nephews, Jackson and Samuel Moret of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The couple also included their youngest nephews, Benjamin Moret, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dale Hix of Celina, and Leyton Simms of Prosper for a special bridal entry.

The reader was the groom’s sister, Heather Moret of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the acolyte was the bride’s cousin, Jarrett Fenley of Trophy Club, and the pianist was the bride’s cousin, Molly Pittman of Fort Worth. The ushers were the bride’s brother, Brian Hix of Celina, and the bride’s brother-in-law, Logan Simms of Prosper. The hostesses were the bride’s cousins, Robin and Addison Fenley of Trophy Club, Heather and Elleson Cozart of Ennis, and Jennifer Neumann of Waco.

The couple traveled to Hawaii for their honeymoon, and they now reside in Irving.
