Fans and friends of Kidd Kraddick gathered outside of the studio along the Las Colinas canal where the popular radio personality hosted Kidd Kraddick in the Morning on “Kiss FM” KHKS-FM (106.1) for the past several years.
Some brought flowers and homemade posters to honor the life of a man they had known primarily through the radio. Roughly 200 people stood listening to Kidd’s co-hosts on Monday morning during the live broadcast of the show. Many of them were in tears knowing they would hear Kidd no more.
On July 27, Kidd Kraddick died unexpectedly while preparing to take part in a golf tournament in Louisiana for the charity he founded, Kidd’s Kids, which sponsors trips to Disney World for chronically and terminally ill children and their families. But it was not Kidd’s death his friends remembered, it was how he chose to live and share his life.
