Area businesses were invited to be a part of the North Texas Governor’s Small Business Forum presented at the Irving Convention Center on Aug. 1. The event offered a variety of breakout sessions on topics relevant to small business owners, from customizing social media to maximizing market value. Participants were met with networking opportunities, feature speakers and exhibitors catering to the needs of small businesses.
“This is the second consecutive year we have hosted the Governor’s Small Business Forum in Irving,” said Don Williams, Director of Business and Visitor Services with the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber. “Nineteen agencies have partnered with us on a steering committee to help pull this together, and it is a sold out event.
“Our goal is for every person who attends to walk away with one or two things that they can use tomorrow morning to make their business more successful. We want to give small businesses some tools they can walk away with and implement.”
