The Aliens by Upstart Productions
Through Aug. 31, 7:30 p.m.
Come see Annie Baker’s critically acclaimed play that explores friendship and the American dream in the dingy back alley of a sleepy Vermont coffeehouse where affable slackers, KJ and Jasper fill their languid days with Bukowski references, low-key jam sessions, aspirations to launch their band and ’shroom-spiked tea. When smart but awkward teenager Evan, a new coffeehouse employee, attempts to evict them from their makeshift perch, all of them are rocked out of their lives in ways none of them expected.
