Salon owner looking forward to having Beatles tribute band play on his doorstep

Irving native and small-business owner J. Kelly Warms never witnessed a live performance of his favorite rock band The Beatles. However, he will meet members of the popular Beatles Tribute Band, A Hard Night’s Day, on Sep. 8, at the Irving Main Street Event. The group is scheduled to perform at 5 p.m. right in front of Warms’ Billy Shears Hair Designs, on the Main Stage in the Heritage District.

The award-winning band’s performance will be the closest encounter Warms has had to experiencing the music of the legendary John, Paul, George and Ringo.

“I would have never dreamt that a Beatles Tribute Band would literally perform at the front door of Billy Shears Hair Designs. I’m very excited.” Warms said. The salon owner added he’s looking forward to hearing his favorite Beatles’ song, Oh! Darling.

Winner of many Dallas Observer Music Awards as Best Cover Band, A Hard Night’s Day Band has been spreading the music of the Beatles for 18 years. The band has travelled to England three times to perform in the annual Beatleweek Festival, where thousands celebrate Beatlemania in Liverpool.
