Betty J. Steward
Betty J. Steward, of Irving, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012. She was born April 20, 1932 in Booneville, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her husband Loyal “L.B.” Steward in 2005, brothers Bob Hodges, Winston Hodges, and sister Hazel Woods. Survivors include her son Donny Steward and wife Vicki of Justin; daughter Linda Larkin and husband Jack of Irving; brother Billy Hodges of Irving; sisters Louise Modlin of Irving; Vivian Tennyson of Burnsville, Mississippi, Frances Smith and husband Jhue of Columbia, South Carolina, and Edith Gullett of Jackson, Mississippi; grandchildren Christopher Loyal Steward and wife Alexa, and Michael Brian Steward and Shelby; great grandchildren Lucas Benny Steward, and Summer Lynn Steward; many nieces and nephews, and other loving family members. Funeral services were held at 2 PM Friday, December 28, 2012 at Brown’s Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Tribute Program, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
