City Manager Tommy Gonzalez will be visiting Florida’s Pasco County this month to tour what could become home for his family, according to a commissioner for the Florida county. Gonzalez, whose stretch as the City Manager of the City of Irving is slated to end in October, had applied to be administrator for Pasco County.
Patricia Mulieri, a Pasco county commissioner, said Pasco County Commissioners are now working to negotiate a contract with Gonzalez, who was offered the position in late May after the Pasco County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to choose Gonzalez for the job.
But Susan Rose, communications director for the City, said Gonzalez hasn’t made a decision yet.
“He is considering all options, with his family playing a big role in deciding what is next for them,” Rose said.
