Oil of Olay bandit taken into custody
Coppell PD detectives notified the Irving PD and officers went to the location. Law enforcement officers made contact with Hardman. He was taken into custody without incident on the Coppell PD felony theft warrant (four theft offenses aggregated into one, State Jail Felony).
Hardman is suspected of stealing Oil of Olay products from grocery stores. He is suspected of attempting to sell the products after losing his job at an Irving fast food restaurant. The four Coppell related offenses total approximately $20,000 in loss to the victims.
After his arrest, Hardman refused to cooperate further with detectives. He was transported to the Dallas County Jail where he was booked into custody.
Multiple other agencies will possibly have additional charges on Hardman regarding similar offenses committed within their jurisdictions. The offenses occurred between the months of December 2011 and June 2012.
Coppell Chief Mac Tristan says this was an offense that created substantial loss to our business community. The arrest was a collaborative effort from the Coppell PD and other law enforcement agencies.
