Jones named Parade All-America
The 2012 Parade Magazine All-America selections have been released with Duke incoming freshmen Alexis Jones and Sierra Moore receiving accolades.
Jones, who is out of Irving MacArthur High School averaged 22.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 4.4 steals as a senior. She is a two-time Gatorade Texas Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Jones competed in the McDonald’s All-America game as she totaled nine points, three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 21 minutes. She also posted 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and one blocked shot in the WBCA All-America contest.
Jones will join the Blue Devils for summer school starting in July.
